Assist & Slipper Clutch

Based on racing technology, the Assist & Slipper Clutch acts as both a back-torque limiter and a self-servo mechanism that enables a lighter clutch lever pull.

Dual Injectors

Dual Injectors, each with a distinct role, operate at different rpm ranges, to deliver both quick response and increased high-rpm power.

Dual Throttle Valves

Dual Throttle Valves offer increased power and greater ease of use care of a second set of ECU-controlled throttle valves.

Economical Riding Indicator

The Economical Riding Indicator is a mark appearing on the instrument panel to indicate favorable fuel consumption, encouraging fuel efficient riding.

Electronic Cruise Control

Electronic Cruise Control allows vehicle speed to be fixed. Rider support technology that helps reduce rider fatigue on long trips and contributes to increased touring comfort.

Electronic Throttle Valves

Electronic Throttle Valves allow the ECU to deliver the ideal amount of fuel and air to the engine.

Fuel Economy Assistance Mode

Fuel Economy Assistance Mode is a rider selectable mode that switches the ECU to a leaner fuel map, prioritizing fuel economy to enable a longer touring range.

Kawasaki Engine Brake Control

Kawasaki Engine Brake Control allows riders to set engine braking according to preference.

KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode)

KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode) optimizes acceleration from a stop by electronically managing engine output to minimize wheel spin.

KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function)

KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function) oversees multiple engine and chassis electronic management systems to facilitate smooth cornering.

KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) (1-mode)

KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) offers rider reassurance by reducing rear wheel spin on various surfaces.

KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control)

KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control), Kawasaki’s advanced traction control system, offers a selection of modes to suit a wide range of riding situations, from sport riding to touring.

KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter)

KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter) enables clutchless shifting.

Launch Control Mode

Launch Control Mode is a motocross-use start mode that helps riders get the holeshot by minimizing wheel spin off the start.

Power Modes

Power Mode selection allows engine power delivery to be changed to suit the riding situation.

S-KTRC (Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control)

S-KTRC (Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control) is a racing technology-based predictive traction control system designed to help riders push harder on the racetrack by maximizing acceleration.

Smartphone Connectivity

Smartphone connectivity contributes to an enhanced motorcycling experience by enabling riders to connect to their motorcycle wirelessly.

Sound Tuning

Sound tuning enhances the exhilaration a Kawasaki motorcycle offers by complementing the sensations the rider feels with a carefully crafted auditory component.

Supercharged Engine

Designed completely in-house, the immense potential of the highly compact, highly efficient supercharged engine is a testament to the technology possessed by the Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (KHI).

CHASSIS MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY

Durable and long-lasting platforms are the direct result of our advanced engineering, exhaustive testing and continuous pursuit of superior reliability, safety and performance.

ABS (Anti-lock Brake System)

ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) modulates brake fluid pressure when wheel lock occurs, contributing to rider reassurance.

Cornering Lights

Cornering lights provide supplemental illumination when cornering, creating a wider illuminated path in the direction the bike is heading.

ERGO-FIT

ERGO-FIT® is an interface system that allows a wide range of riders to feel at one with their machine.

Horizontal Back-link Rear Suspension

Horizontal Back-link Rear Suspension arranges its shock unit horizontally, greatly contributing to efficient use of space and mass centralization.

IMU-Enhanced Chassis Orientation Awareness

Combined with Kawasaki’s proprietary dynamic modeling program, input from the IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) enables even more precise chassis orientation awareness, the key to bringing Kawasaki’s electronics to the next level.

K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology) ABS

K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology) ABS is an advanced brake system that links the front and rear brakes for stable braking.

KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension)

KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension) adapts to road and riding conditions in real time, providing the ideal amount of damping called for.

KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System)

KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System) is a high-precision brake system designed specifically for supersport models, offering highly efficient braking while maintaining natural feel.

KIPASS (Kawasaki's Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System)

KIPASS (Kawasaki’s Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System) is a master key system that allows remote activation of the bike’s main switch and steering lock.

Monocoque Frame

The Kawasaki-original monocoque aluminum frame is a hollow box-style structure that travels over the engine to achieve a slim chassis design, and uses the engine as a fixed member to ensure the ideal rigidity balance.

Silver-Mirror Paint

Kawasaki’s original silver-mirror paint uses a layer of silver to create a highly reflective, glasslike metal appearance.

Smart Regulator

The Smart Regulator is a highly efficient regulator for small-displacement models, offering increased fuel economy by minimizing power drain to the generator.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) continuously monitors tire air pressure while riding, adding to rider reassurance on long tours.

KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function)

KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function) oversees multiple engine and chassis electronic management systems to facilitate smooth cornering.
